Magician Brings Early Christmas Fun to the Rainbow Unit

The magician from POD will now be at the Children's Ward on Tuesday December 21 at 2pm NOT Tuesday December 14 as previously planned.

A magician will be entertaining children in the Rainbow Unit on Tuesday December 21st.

The magician is from the POD charitable trust, a national charity that aims to bring a magic, fun and laughter into the lives of sick children in hospitals across the country. The visits are funded through an anonymous local charity.

Hospital Play Specialist Cathy Chapman said: "The POD Charitable Trust send a magician to the Rainbow Unit once a month to cheer up the children.

"No one likes to be in hospital, least of all children and the magician¹s visit once a month really makes a difference. We are extremely grateful."
