Clinical Resource Centre and Library

DECEMBER 2002

This is the last Current Awareness of 2002 and also from the old Clinical Resource Centre and Library. Since 1974, the Library has been in the heart of the hospital providing a service for all who work in health in the West of Suffolk. We will be moving to the new education centre at the back of the hospital and look forward to providing our users with better facilities. We will start the move on the 31st January 2003 and anticipate being open for business on the 10th February. In the interim would all users who wish to use the new Library after normal working hours please fill in a form, get it signed by your manager and take it to Terry Owens, Security officer, who will then upgrade your Trust identification card. Users not working at the West Suffolk Hospital please contact the library (extension 3343) for details of access. Staff News: Val Wallis, who has worked at the library for many years, has now retired and has been replaced by Beverley Walsh who will be in charge of interloans and journals. She can be contacted on extension 3343. James Eyland, technical support, started work at the beginning of December: he will be working on developing an image database to support teaching in the Trust and, as a trained medical photographer, can give help and advice on all aspects of this subject. Contact him on extension 3343 or [email protected].
