West Suffolk Hospital run market stall
Media invitation:
Date: Wednesday 10 July
Time: 10am until 4pm
Venue: The stall will be located outside of Next
Staff from various departments in the West Suffolk Hospital are once again running a stall on Bury St Edmunds market to encourage people to join the NHS.
As shoppers move between the fruit, vegetables and clothes stalls there will be an opportunity to find out more about the many and varied careers available at their local hospital.
Director of Personnel and Corporate Resources Jan Bloomfield said: “We need to be as innovative as possible in our bid to attract new recruits to the hospital. The Wednesday market attracts large numbers of people into Bury and last year proved to be an excellent venue for the trust to promote working in the NHS as a rewarding and worthwhile career.
“We will be highlighting the benefits of working for the NHS and encouraging local people to think about a career at the West Suffolk Hospital.”
The market stall is one of a number of imaginative initiatives run by the Trust to recruit staff. They have included advertising on the back of car park stickers and on the side of buses serving the town and surrounding villages.
