New Non-Executive Director Appointed to the Board

The Appointments Commission has appointed Jane Golding as a new Non-executive Director on the board of West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust from April 1 2005 to March 31 2009.
Jane, from Banham in Norfolk, is Proposition Development Manager for Norwich Union. She has worked for Norwich Union for nine years. A Chartered Accountant, Jane is an experienced financial manager who has worked in a variety of industry sectors for both small and large organisations.
Jane started her training in 1977 at Chartered Accountants Macnair Mason and then Ernst & Whinney before moving to food processing company Reckitt & Colman Plc in 1984. There she was responsible for treasury management, payroll, management, purchase control and other project work.
In 1987 Jane went to work for food processing company Tulip International UK Ltd where she was responsible for financial planning and reporting, management information, maintaining the control environment, payroll and pensions. She then joined FSW Group, an advertising, marketing and media company and later in 1995 window construction company Velfac Ltd. In both roles, she was responsible for financial control, strategy and planning.
Jane said: "I am delighted to be joining the board of West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust. I wanted to join the Trust Board because I recognised that I had a varied background in business and wanted to use this in a community-based organisation.
"I have a huge admiration for NHS staff, they do a marvellous job, often in difficult conditions. Coming from a commercial background, I hope that I can add a different perspective."
Chairman of the Trust’s Board Veronica Worrall said: "I would like to warmly welcome Jane to the Trust Board. She brings with her a wealth of business experience to the Trust."
As a non-executive director Jane will receive a remuneration of £5,673 p.a. She has no declared political activity and has held no other ministerial appointments.
