This information service is provided to doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other appropriate healthcare professionals.

Appropriate and if necessary restricted information is supplied to patients and members of the public, but with the main emphasis on consulting the GP, or doctor if further problems occur or if particular concerns need attention.

The medicines information department has been established for several years and holds very good resource books. Pharmline and Medline provide up-to-date accurate information. Electronic Databases (eBNF and Drug and therapeutics Bulletin) are also available as well as Intranet and Internet access.
