Basic Grade Occupational Therapists

With the Suffolk Mental Health Partnership Trust and the Suffolk West PCT, the West Suffolk Hospital has a well established Rotation scheme for 10 Basic Grade Occupational Therapists.

The rotations are for 6 months and are available in the following areas:-

West Suffolk Hospital

Acute and Rehabilitation Medicine

Orthopaedics

Surgery

Suffolk West PCT

Complex Discharges

Suffolk Mental Health Partnership

Acute Mental Health

Elderly Mentally Ill

Interviews for these posts usually take place in the spring of each year but posts may be available at any time.

In all areas there is regular support and supervision with emphasis on Professional Development in each rotation. There are in-service training programmes and the Basic Grades meet monthly to enhance their own self-directed learning
